2.Yachting AustraliaCOMPETENT CREW (incl Small Craft Safety Course)Bareboat (Charter Boat) Course The YA Competent Crew is a very comprehensive course covering most aspects of sailing a small boat and is Internationally Recognised. It is the certificate usually required if you wish to hire a Charter boat. Both the Small Craft Safety Course and the Competent Crew Practical are required to gain your YA Competent Crew Certificate. INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED.

This course includes :- Safety, Distress, Weather, Parts of a boat,Types of boats,Sail theory incl airfoils and apparent wind, Rules of road, Night Lights, Anchoring, Radio, Engines and Navigation including reading a chart,GPS, Plotting a course and finding your position using a compass. Price 2 days (prior experience) $400.00 , 3 days $500.00. If you wish to combine competent crew with the speed boat licence (for those buying a boat or those working on charter vessels ) $550.00

3.YA INSHORE SKIPPER Course This course is a continuation of the Competent Crew Course and provides the knowledge to skipper a yacht in Inshore waters. It further covers in depth Navigation, Stability, Preparation & Organisation for sea, Maintenance & Repair, Passage Planning. Emergencies and Night Work.
